weekends should probably mean very little to me. i don’t work a 9-5 and clearly the pandemic keeps me from, i don’t know, hitting the bars, getting brunch, or whatever it was we did on weekends 9 months ago. yet, i like to keep the illusion alive for myself. i’ll make pancakes, or do a movie marathon, or in times when i have less energy, at least try to do things with a little more intentionality than i do on the weekdays.
here’s how i’m planning on spending my weekend:
reading more of times square red, times square blue by sam delany and the cooking gene by michael w. twitty
putting on a hydrating face mask while i read ‘cause my skin’s drying out from the cold
watching more of i hate suzie, which i started yesterday
getting the apartment clean (which i’ve been putting off) while listening to the third ep of poog, kate berlant and jacqueline novak’s new podcast
making some cookie dough to throw in the freezer so that i can make cookie dough cookies on a whim over the next few weeks
check out this week’s crossword. if you found it too easy or too hard, lemme know. it’s hard for me to tell but i want to make sure they’re fun!
i want to hear from you! reply to this email or fill out the form linked in the above image and i’ll give you a personalized book, tv, album, or recipe recommendation in an upcoming newsletter.
crossword was very hard for me because I live under a rock! I think I only got about half 😭
