oh my what a wonderfully relaxing saturday it’s been! i made some beautifully fudgy brownies and got a significant chunk of reading done.
i love hibernating, and frankly, today’s recommendation requests are pretty suited for it, too.
zoe, i have to admit i’m buzzing with jealousy after reading that you have an immersion blender. i only have a bullet blender, making the blended soup process quite a bit more challenging.
the crown jewel of the blended soup canon has got to be potato and leek. from the time you’re writing your grocery list to the time it’s on the table, it is gloriously simple.
as with most blended soups, the real magic here is in the accompanying bread. why not try this easy focaccia recipe or this even easier loaf bread recipe? i’m not horribly experienced in bread making, but both of these recipes made me feel like a seasoned professional. to go even simpler, you could make some rosemary sea salt crackers, or alternatively, pick up a loaf of bread from a local bakery. but between the simplicity of the soup and the simplicity of the bread, what will you do with all that extra time on your hands…?
i wish i had more to offer you, but after thirty minutes of searching for an old thai soup recipe i would make all the time, i have come up dry. if the recipe ever returns home to me, you will be the first to know.
hello, sweet fabiola.
admittedly, this is a tough one for me because i never really got into terrace house. from what i understand, most people are into it because of how drama free it is, relative to other reality TV offerings.
if this is what attracts you to the show, or if you’re just into reality tv that’s a little off the beaten path, i think the great pottery throw down might be for you. while there are some stressful moments — it is a competition after all — it’s pretty calming, owing in part to the british accents.
though they’re undoubtedly more chaotic, i’d also urge you to check out too hot to handle or the circle if you didn’t watch ‘em the first time around. and lastly, if you did watch and enjoy all of the circle’s american edition, you can check out the france and brazil seasons which are available dubbed in english.
